Traverse City North Stars News Release
The Michigan Warriors polished off the Traverse City North Stars with a flourish on Saturday in Flint, claiming a 5-0 win in the fourth game of the NAHL North Division semifinal playoff series, taking the best-of-five set by a 3-1 margin. A.J. White scored twice and assisted on a third goal, while Michael Szuma added one of each for the Warriors. Steve Bolton made 22 stops for Traverse City, which ended its best-ever season on a sour note. The Warriors had not won a playoff game in team history coming into the 2011 postseason, but had little trouble dispatching the Stars in the first round matchup - the teams' first-ever playoff showdown. The North Stars will turn their attention the the NAHL Draft in May, and a series of four camps this summer in preparation for the 2011-12 season.
