Stanwick, Marrocco, and Rees Named Players of the Week

Boston, MA - Steele Stanwick of the Chesapeake Bayhawks and Nick Marrocco of the Boston Cannons have been named Warrior Players of the Week for their performances in Week 15. Ryland Rees, also of the Boston Cannons, has been named Cascade Rookie of the Week for his performance in the Cannons 19-9 win over the Atlanta Blaze.

Steele Stanwick has been named Warrior Offensive Player of the Week after scoring three goals and adding an assist in the Bayhawks 11-10 win over the Denver Outlaws. Stanwick is now up to 49 points on the season, good enough for seventh in the league. This is Stanwick's first Player of the Week honor this season.

Nick Marrocco of the Boston Cannons has been named Warrior Defensive Player of the Week following his outstanding performance against the Atlanta Blaze. Marrocco made 13 saves on Saturday evening including a SportsCenter Top 10 Play when Marrocco robbed Shayne Jackson of a sure goal in the first quarter. This is Marrocco's second Player of the Week honor this season.

Ryland Rees of the Boston Cannons has been named Cascade Rookie of the Week for his performance against the Blaze. Rees had a great all-around game including three goals (1 2-PT), one assist, along with five groundballs, and one caused turnover. This is Rees's second Player of the Week honor after being named Warrior Defensive Player of the Week in Week Four.
