Leaderboard Trends
This week, a few teams look to break into the all-time record books for Most Team Goals, with the Atlanta Blaze leading the pack with 214 goals. This places them at 6th on the leaderboard with one game remaining. The current all-time record was set by the Baltimore Bayhawks (a predecessor of Chesapeake) in 2005 with 227 goals, making Atlanta 13 goals short of tying and 14 goals short of breaking this long-standing record in MLL history.
Lyle Thompson continued his streak of scoring at least 2 goals per game this past week, in addition to making 4 assists for a combined 6-point game, shooting him 7 spots up on the all-time Single-Season Points leaderboard to 3rd place. Also, he is currently tied for 5th place in all-time Single-Season Goals with 46 goals going into the last week of the season. Thompson would need 5 points to tie and 6 goals to beat Rob Pannell's current record of 78 points in a single season, which he set last season with the New York Lizards.
After a big 5-point game on Saturday, Chris Aslanian, a 2019 Cascade Rookie of the Year nominee, rose to 42 points (22 goals & 20 assists) in his debut season with Denver and has reached 3rd on the all-time Points by a Rookie and 3rd on the all-time Assists by a Rookie leaderboards.
Max Adler has risen to 3rd on the Single-Season Faceoff Wins leaderboard, with 256 wins, averaging over 17 faceoff wins per game.
