Harrisburg Stampede News Release

HARRISBURG, PA (January 8, 2012) - Harrisburg Stampede's General Manager and Head Coach, Bernie Nowotarski announced today that he has signed OL/DL player, Dominque Bacon for the 2012 Season.

Dom played his High School football at Northeast HS in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was a 3 year letterman and he was an Honorable Mention All-State selection. Dom's college football career was played in Troy, Alabama at football rich, Troy University.

Dominque currently lives close by in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. We have been very fortunate this recruiting season to find so many local players and guys that are close enough to commute to Harrisburg. Dom is the type of player that can play both the offensive and defensive line for us. Having a player that can play more than one position is so important to a team, especially with a 20 man roster limit on game day. At 6'7" and 295lbs, Dom has the size to be a physical force in this league and with hard work and some good film, we can get him looked at, and hopefully a move up will be in his future.

Just a Reminder: The Stampede's Last Open-Try Out before Training Camp in March will be on Friday February 3, 2012 at In The Net Sports Complex in Palmyra Pa., Registration starts at 9pm and the Work-Out is from 10pm - 12:30am Info can be found www.inthenet.com.
