Harrisburg Stampede News Release

HARRISBURG, PA - Stampede GM/Head Coach, Bernie Nowotarski announced today that the team has signed WR Jon Lanouette for the 2012 Season.

"When you get a chance to sign an athletic and big receiver, you generally don't turn the opportunity down" commented Coach Nowotarski. Jon comes to the Stampede from Newark Delaware where he was a 4 year Letterman at Newark HS. His senior year he was named as an All-State Tight End and Linebacker. He continued on to play college football at Wesley College. Jon was a 4 year All-Conference TE and was selected as an All-American in his junior and senior seasons. He is still the All-Time Leading receiver at Wesley and that was from the TE position.

At 6'4" 260lbs and with great mobility and strength along with his down field blocking ability as a TE, Jon provides our offense with a proto-type, big target slot receiver. Jon is a close friend and work-out partner of Vincent Tiberi, also from Wesley, and a signed LB with the Stampede. We look forward to seeing both these guys at our January 7 work-out.

Just a Reminder: The next Stampede Open-Try Out is Saturday January 7 at Gameface International Sports Complex in Temple Pa.Registration starts at 9pm and Work-Out is from 10pm "" 12:30.

Ticket Information and Sales will soon be posted on the Stampede web site.
