Harrisburg Stampede News Release
HARRISBURG, PA (June 12, 2012) - The season may have ended a week early for the Stampede, but for several Stampede Players their season has a chance to continue.
The Philadelphia Soul has signed four Stampede players to come into Philadelphia and show what they can do to strengthen the Soul roster for the stretch run of the season. The Soul will be taking a long hard look at Randell Bennett, Vincent Tiberi, Dan Huff and Brian Bradford. Bennett is a 6'7" 330lb Offensive Linemen for the Stampede. Randell had a very good season. He is big, strong and very coachable. Vin was part of the Stampedes League Leading Defense. He compiled 36 tackles including 6 sacks, 2 interceptions, 5 fumble recoveries, a kick-off return and a defensive touchdown. Brian had 19 tackles from his defensive end position, including 2 sacks, 6 tackles for a loss and 10 QB hits and a defensive touchdown. Dan Huff came on late in the season when Jon Lanoutte went down with a season ending injury. Dan finished up with 19 catches for 172 yards a touchdown and 2 point conversion.
I expect that there may be a few more players looked at in the next week or so, commented Head Coach Nowotarski. Several of our players have had outstanding seasons and certainly deserve a look at the next level. I know the four that are going will give it their best and represent the Stampede to the best of their ability. They are top quality players and I am proud they are getting a shot.
