Stampede Fall to Halifax, Split Canadian Trip

The Buffalo Stampede lost today to the Halifax Rainmen 111-90 at the Metro Center. They finished their two game Canadian road trip 1-1 defeating the Quebec Kebs last night in Quebec. The Stampede were led by Andy Robinson who had 29 points and Greg Gamble who had an outstanding game with 22 points and 11 rebounds from the point guard position. Kevin Ross had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Stampede. Charles Walker had 10 points.

The Stampede kept it close till the third quarter when the fresh Halifax team pulled away. The Rainmen were led by Adris DeLeon who had 17 points and Tony Bennett who had 16. Eric Crookshank had a good game for the Rainmen with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

The Stampede dropped to 3-6 on the season but remain in 5th place in the league. The next home game is a big one against the Vermont Frost Heaves this Saturday Feb. 13th at the Koessler Center. Game time is 7:30pm. There is a pre-game concert at 6:30pm by Amanda Nagurney. This is the American Cancer Society game with $1.00 from every ticket sold donated to this great cause. Tickets start at only $7.00 so bring the family to see some great pro basketball.
