Stampede defeat Canadian Travel Team in Exhibition Game

The Buffalo Stampede of the PBL defeated the Guelph Phoenix, a Canadian travel team, 103-98 at Daemen College on Saturday. The Stampede were led by John Battle and Corey Herring, who scored 35 and 20 points respectively.
This was the only preseason game on the Stampede schedule. The PBL regular season opens on January 2, 2010 with two games, including Buffalo @ Quebec. The Stampede open at home on January 9, 2010 against the defending champion Rochester RazorSharks.
