Harrisburg Stampede News Release

HARRISBURG, PA (February 23, 2012) - The Harrisburg Stampede Owner Justin Coble has taken another step in improving his team's performance in preparation for the 2012 season. Coble has brought onto his Coaching Staff, Bentz Tozer.

Tozer played football in high school and was a fullback and linebacker. His high school career earned Tozer an athletic scholarship to Lehigh University, where he played football in 1978 and 1979 while also competing on the track and field team. Tozer saw the inside of some NFL try-out camps and he also spent some time in the semi-professional football circuit. .

Fitness training was not solely the only career path that Bentz traveled. He taught physical education and coached football at Elizabethtown Area High School before going to Millersville University to coach the defensive line and manage the strength program for the Marauders.

"The Stampede have never had strength and conditioning coach" commented Coble. "We believe the addition of Bentz will benefit our players and result in better play and increased endurance, especially during those late 4th quarter drives, when other players tire out. Bentz will also be able to lend his assistance to the D-Line and LB's. We are striving to build a winning team on and off the field and we just feel bringing Bentz Tozer in, is another step in the right direction" remarked Coble.

Just a Reminder: Stampede Season Ticket and Single Game Tickets are for sale on our Team web site and our Home Opener is Saturday April 7 at the Equine Arena in the Farm Show Complex.
