Stadler to attend Adrian College

Alpena MI: Alpena IceDiggers forward Justin Stadler has committed to Adrian College DIII for the 2007-2008 season.

"Justin is very excited to be going to Adrian and help jump start their program and I am happy for him, he will get a chance to play close to home so his parents can attend his games for the next four years." said head coach Kenny Miller

Adrian will compete for the first time in school history next season at the division III level and play in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association, the college also recently announced plans and broke ground for the $5.5 million Arrington Ice Arena which will be located on the AC campus.

The Livonia MI native becomes the fourth IceDigger to commit to play college hockey next season joining Todd Rudasill (Ohio State), Drew Pierson (West Point) and Eric Roman (Wayne State).

With Stadler attending Adrian he joins several former IceDiggers who are currently competing in division III hockey. Dayne Bihn and Kaleigh Schrock are playing at 3rd ranked Neumann College while other alumni players Steve Culbertson (Castleton), Jeff Miller (St. Mary's), Ross Enmark (Curry College), Joe Watson (Utica), Mitch Sabo (Suffolk).

The IceDiggers will open the first round of the NAHL playoffs on Saturday April 7th at Northern Lights Arena versus the USA U-17 team. Face off will be at 7:00PM. On Easter Sunday these same two teams will do battle again at Northern Lights Arena with a special 6:00PM start.
