ST. CHARLES, MO-When Monsters football was announced, rumors started circulating about players, one of those has turned into reality. Former Lindenwood University Quarterback Philip Staback, formerly of the Wichita Wild has signed with the Monsters. Staback is also the current quarterbacks coach at LU. He finished his senior season with LU as the nation's most efficient passer with a ranking of (225.0).
Philip Staback (6'1," 205, QB, Lindenwood) will enter 2013 as a two year starter in indoor football having played for the Wichita Wild in 2011 and 2012. He went 11-6, completed 61-percent of his passes for 2,567 yards,41 passing touchdowns, eight rushing td's and only 23 picks. During his time at LU, he started all 24 games in which he played. He completed, 426 of 602 passes for 6,710 yards, 70 td's and only 14 picks. Additionally, he had nine games over 300yds, a completion percentage of 71-percent and a record six td's in one game. On the ground, he had 102 carries for 519 yards and 78 td's. For his excellence on the field, he received 1st Team All-American, 1st Team All-HAAC, HAAC MVP, 2nd Team All-HAAC and honorable mention All-American.
