Missouri Monsters News Release

ST. CHARLES, MO - The Missouri Monsters are expecting a championship caliber team for our 2014 season! In an effort to ensure this success, we have diligently interviewed candidates for our Head Coach position and are excited to announce that we have selected Pat Pimmel to lead us to success this 2014 season.

Pimmel most recently was the Offensive Coordinator for the Orlando Predators in the Arena Football League (AFL). He has spent the last four years of his career as a Head Coach in the AFL and the Indoor Football League (IFL). With 25+ years of coaching experience, Pimmel brings a wide range of technical knowledge and professional maturity to the team.

"I am excited to have Pat as part of the Monsters Family. After exhaustively interviewing a significant amount of candidates, the ownership truly feels that Pat holds the key competencies that we are looking for in a Head Coach, both on and off the field. I look forward to working with him on building the Monsters into a fierce contender for the 2014 season!" Said Monsters Owner Andrew Haines.

In 2012 Pat Pimmel was the Head Coach of the first year Allen Wranglers (IFL), notable for being the first post-NFL team for wide receiver Terrell Owens (T.O.). In 2011 he served as Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach for the Nebraska Danger. In 2010 he was the Head Coach of the Omaha Beef, where he led the team to their 11th consecutive playoff appearance, including a road victory in Sioux Falls which was Sioux Falls last home loss in 38 games. In 2008 Pat was the Assistant Coach for The River City Rage under former Green Bay Packer Ken Stills. In 2009 he was named Head Coach for the River City Rage half way through the season, Pimmel turned the teamfrom a losing season into Conference Champions and the United Bowl runner up.

"I am so excited to be coaching back in my home town where I can share my career with my family and friends. I have been coaching out of the state for over 3 years and have seen so many talented players from St. Louis picked up by out of state teams. I look forward to seeing St. Louis talent and picking up as many local players as I can, I know they can play and win at this level. Additionally, I look forward to partnering with the ownership and bringing a championship home for St. Louis." Said Monsters Head Coach, Pat Pimmel.

Coach Pimmel is a St. Louis native where he attended Hazelwood East High School and then the University of Missouri at Columbia.
