March 14, 2013 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced today that the team will host a charity auction of its St. Patrick's Day-themed game-worn jerseys, shorts and helmets on Saturday night at Pepsi Center as the team takes on the Buffalo Bandits. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Kroenke Sports Charities and its support of lacrosse-related community initiatives in the metro area.
"The items are truly one-of-a-kind, and I look forward to raising money to help grow the game of lacrosse," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett.
The auction will take place on the Pepsi Center concourse outside section 144 from the time doors open through the end of halftime. The winners will participate in an on-field presentation to receive the items directly from the players immediately following the game.
"Mammoth fans have consistently supported the initiatives of the team and the items this week are a must-have," said Deb Dowling-Canino, KSE Vice President of Community Relations and Fan Development. "And even more importantly, proceeds from the auction benefit community sports, education and recreation programs in Colorado."
The team's green helmets feature a shamrock design and a 360-degree pattern that resembles a belt buckle and strap. Helmet wraps were created by ZimaGear, a Florida-based sportswear company. Tickets to the Mammoth's St. Patrick's Day celebration start at $10 and are on sale now at the Pepsi Center, all Colorado Dick's Sporting Goods retail kiosks, online at TicketHorse.com, or by calling 303.53.HORSE.
