St. Louis Quest Moves To Family Arena
September 24, 2002 - United States Professional Volleyball League (USPV)
St. Louis Quest News Release
ST. LOUIS, MO., SEPTEMBER 24, 2002_The St. Louis Quest, a member of United States Pro Volleyball (USPV), today announced the team will play all of its home matches at Family Arena in suburban St. Charles, Mo.
The Quest played the 2002 season at Washington University in St. Louis.
Quest general manager Tom Wistrcill stated the main reason for the move was to provide Quest fans with an opportunity to watch professional volleyball in a world class sports facility.
"With attendance increasing 20 percent over the latter half of the 2002 season and the Family Arena aggressively pursuing this relationship, we knew it would be the right choice for everyone," said Wistrcill.
The Quest will play an expanded 10-match home schedule, with 70 percent of those matches on prime weekend dates. Family Arena, with a normal 10,000 seat capacity, will have a 3,324 seat capacity for Quest matches.
"The Quest is a great fit for the Arena. We are thrilled to welcome this quality organization to our exciting sports and entertainment line-up," said Matt Hacker, Director of the Family Arena.
The Quest joins other recent Arena acquisitions such as Disney On Ice and the NBA Pre-Season Houston Rockets vs. Portland Trail Blazers game.
