Sportsnet To Air Championship In Canada

Fans in Canada can watch the 2007 National Lacrosse League Championship presented by Edge Active Care on Rogers Sportsnet. Sportsnet will air the game in all regions in a same-day tape delay broadcast on Saturday, May 12 at 7PM Eastern/4PM Pacific, the league and Sportsnet announced today. The game will air live in the US on VERSUS at 4PM Eastern/1PM Pacific. Arizona hosts Rochester in the championship game.

Fans can also watch the game via live pay-per-view webcast at www.nll.com via B2 networks for $6 USD.

The game will also be televised in more than 50 countries via broadcasts on Eurosport and Fox Sports Middle East. Please check local listings for the broadcast dates and times.

The game will also air live on SIRIUS Satellite Radio, channel 140. Coverage starts at 3PM ET with "Inside the NLL with Casey Powell".

The Arizona Sting and Rochester Knighthawks will meet in the 2007 National Lacrosse League Championship presented by Edge Active Care on Saturday, May 12th at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

ON-AIR TALENT FOR CHAMPIONSHIP GAME TELECAST

The league has also announced the on-air talent for the championship game telecast. Joe Heyer will handle play-by-play duties, while Geoff Bieging will serve as the color analyst. Doug Fritts will report from the sidelines.

Heyer announces NLL games on VERSUS and Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia. Bieging is a color analyst for NLL games on VERSUS and the Denver-based Altitude sports network.

FOX SPORTS MIDDLE EAST

The National Lacrosse League continues to expand its television reach worldwide with the announcement of game telecasts on Fox Sports Middle East. The network will air NLL games in Israel, Turkey, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and a number of countries in Africa. Fox Sports Middle East will air five games, including the NLL Championship presented by Edge Active Care.

FSME will air a total of five games from the final weeks of the season, all on tape delay.

"The addition of NLL games on Fox Sports Middle East means our games are now seen in nearly 60 countries worldwide," said NLL Commissioner Jim Jennings. "We will continue to aggressively market professional indoor lacrosse to a worldwide audience."

The agreement with Fox Sports Middle East was secured by Craig Hutchison and James Swanwick of Croc Media. Croc Media handles the league's television rights in all territories beyond North America.
