HARRISBURG, PA (December 8, 2010) - When Central Dauphin East High School's new Sports and Entertainment Marketing classes wanted to learn more about the sports and entertainment business they went right to the source: Harrisburg Stampede General Manager and Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski.

Central Dauphin East is offering Sports and Entertainment Marketing to its Juniors and Seniors for the first time this year. The course's main focus is marketing and how it ties to various types of sports and entertainment. Business Teacher Erin Trumbower reached out to Nowotarski, who will be speaking at the school on Friday, December 10th.

"I have contacted a variety of teams in the area that have come to our classes and talked with the students, so we are very excited to have Bernie visit because we actually had many students inquire about him," commented Trumbower.

Nowotarski will be speaking to the classes on his background, education, daily tasks as a general manager and coach, previous positions, and his current position with the Stampede.

"This is the best part of my job, when I get a chance to be with kids and talk to them not only about football and the entertainment and excitement of the sport, but the ability to be accessible to the kids and the schools of this community. I welcome the invites from all the schools and groups," said Nowotarski.
