Sporting Kansas City News Release
Sporting Kansas City will begin play in the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup this week as the team takes on Tulsa Athletic at 7:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday at Children's Mercy Park with the winner advancing to the Round of 32. The match will stream live on YouTube and will also air locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.
On Saturday, Sporting will resume the MLS regular season by hosting CF Montreal for the club's annual Sporting Sustainability match at Children's Mercy Park. The cross-conference clash will kick off at 7:39 p.m. CT and will stream on Apple TV for MLS Season Pass subscribers in both English and Spanish. Saturday's showdown will be shown at each of the club's pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network.
Tickets for both matches are available via SeatGeek, including a special buy one, get one offer for fans to secure Price Chopper South Stand seats for both matches for only $28. In addition, supporters can take advantage of the Bud Light Easy to Enjoy Pack and/or the SKC x Royals Ticket Pack for Saturday's match against Montreal.
The Sporting KC Academy will continue the MLS NEXT campaign today as the U-19s host Louisiana TDP Elite at 10 a.m. CT. at Swope Soccer Village. Next weekend, the U-14s (9am) and U-19s (11am) will welcome Real Colorado to Swope Soccer Village for a doubleheader on Saturday. The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame will host its Kansas City Enshrinement at 1 p.m. CT today at Municipal Auditorium to celebrate the Class of 2023, headlined by former Sporting Kansas City defender Matt Besler. Tickets for the ceremony are $150 and can be purchased by calling 417-889-3100.
After recording a 4-0 win against the Real Monarchs last week, Sporting KC II will continue the MLS NEXT Pro campaign with a road trip to face FC Cincinnati 2 at 6 p.m. CT tonight at NKU Soccer Stadium in Newport, Kentucky. Next Sunday, Sporting KC II will host Houston Dynamo 2 for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kansas with tickets available for $10 via SeatGeek. Both matches will stream live on MLSNEXTPRO.com and fans can follow @SportingKCII on Twitter for updates throughout the season.

Major League Soccer's Primary Transfer Window, during which an MLS team may request the international transfer certificate of a player under contract in another country, will close on Monday. The Secondary Transfer Window is set to take place from July 5 to August 2. All in-season trades between MLS clubs that involve players must take place within these transfer windows.
