Spitfires' Bailey named Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week

Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Joshua Bailey of the Windsor Spitfires is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday January 20 after scoring five goals and adding three assists for eight points in three games.
On Thursday, Bailey was the first star after scoring a goal and an assist in regulation time and adding a goal in the shootout in a 4-3 loss to the Guelph Storm. He added a goal in a 9-5 loss to the Erie Otters on Friday and finished the week with a hat trick and two assists and was the first star in a 10-2 win over the Plymouth Whalers on Sunday.
The 18-year-old from Bowmanville is second in team scoring with 20 goals and 42 assists for 62 points in 46 games this season. He was rated 12th among North American prospects in the NHL Central Scouting mid-term rankings released last week and is one of 40 CHL players playing in the Home Hardware CHL-NHL Top Prospects Game on Wednesday in Edmonton (9:00 p.m. Eastern on Rogers Sportsnet).
