Spiders Squashed as Fury Roll

Cupertino, CA - The Dallas Fury crushed the San Jose Spiders 92-59 Saturday night March 19th at De Anza College.

Trailing by 21 at half, 42-21, the Spiders' anemic shooting contributed greatly to their largest home loss of their brief history. The Spiders shot just 11.8% from beyond the arc. They were also outrebounded by the Fury 51-31. The Spiders couldn't get on the same page together to rally a comeback.

Jia Perkins led the Fury, racking up 26 points. LaToya Turned added 17 points and 9 rebounds in the brutal loss.

The Spiders had just one player in double-points, Amisha Carter with 10 points. Erica Glover and Tyesia Hunter both added 9 points in the crushing loss.

The Spiders end their season next weekend, hosting Olympian Tamika Catchings and the Chicago Blaze on Saturday, March 26th at 7 p.m. for "Fan Appreciation Night," featuring live music, prizes, giveaways and more. The Spiders finale of their inaugural season will be the next day, Sunday, March 27th at 4 p.m., for "NJB Night" hosting the league-leading Colorado Chill, featuring WNBA stars Ruth Riley, Becky Hammon and Kate Cronin . Both games will be held at De Anza College in Cupertino.
