SPHL unveils new logo

The SPHL today unveiled its fifth anniversary logo celebrating five years as the Leader in Single "A" Hockey. The logo features the Roman numeral five in the background and the words FIFTH SEASON at the bottom of the logo.
"The Board of Governors discussed this at the summer meetings and wanted to create a logo that would show their pride in achieving this milestone in the development of the SPHL," stated SPHL Commissioner Jim Combs. "Many designs were considered but this one was the unanimous choice of the Board."
For the 2008-09 season, the logo will appear on player apparel and at various places in each team facility throughout the league. Several of the teams will also be celebrating their fifth anniversary as proud members of the SPHL during the 2008-09 season.
