
SPHL Suspends Three Players

CHARLOTTE, NC - The SPHL today announced three players have been suspended for incidents in games this past weekend.
Fayetteville defenseman Phil Sbrocchi has been suspended one game for his actions in the game against Louisiana on Saturday, December 11.
At the end of the third period, Sbrocchi instigated an altercation with a Louisiana player and was assessed a game misconduct under Rule 46.11.
Sbrocchi will miss Fayetteville's game vs. Knoxville on Friday, December 17.
Louisiana forward Dennis Sicard has been suspended one game for his actions in the game against Fayetteville on Saturday, December 11.
At the end of the third period, Sicard instigated an altercation with a Fayetteville player and was assessed a game misconduct under Rule 46.11.
Sicard will miss Louisiana's game vs. Huntsville on Friday, December 17.
Mississippi forward Ryan McCarthy has been suspended one game for his actions in the game against Pensacola on Saturday, December 11 whereby he instigated an altercation with an opposing player. This suspension is under Rule 28, Supplementary Discipline.
McCarthy will miss Mississippi's game vs. Pensacola on December 17.
