
Spellman Selected as NAHL's East Division Second Star of the Week

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) announced its Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending April 3, 2016 and Rebels forward Frank Spellman was named the East Division's second star of the week while fellow forward Andrew Bellant was named honorable mentioned.
Both players were instrumental each game this weekend against New Jersey but none more so than in the division clinching game Friday night.
Spellman had five points over the weekend with one goal (which sealed the division) and four assists. He had three points in Friday night's win (goal and two assists), and he had two points in Saturday's game. The former Shattuck Saint Mary product is fifth on the team in points with 16 goals and 19 assists. Spellman becomes the sixteenth Rebel to receive either weekly/month award recognition from the league.
Bellant also had five points this past weekend. He had three assists in Friday night's game (an assist on the game winner), and he had a goal and an assist in Saturday's game. Bellant has 13 goals and 18 assists on the season. This is the third time Bellant has been recognized by the league with him being named Star of the Week for week ending November 8 and honorable mentioned for Player of the Month for November.
