Special Message from Coach Pat O'Hara
I want to take this chance to thank you all for your tremendous support of the VooDoo the last few seasons. While we made the playoffs in 2012, 2013 saw some tough times for us on and off the field. Injuries early to our quarterback and several other players put us in a hole that even though we were able to turn the season around late, still did not help us get a playoff spot. And having to move to the SuperDome the second half of the season was tough for us and tough for you. Thank you for fighting the war with us and standing with us through 2013.
The 2014 season is just around the corner, and with it comes new challenges and new opportunities. Thank goodness we're back across the street in The Graveyard! And we're excited there's new blood in the Arena Football League as our game goes back into Los Angeles with the "LA KiSS" team being added for this upcoming season. Hopefully the "KISS" will show up in The Graveyard in 2014 so VooDoo fans can catch a glimpse of what longtime "KISS" rockers Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley put on the field. (Maybe we can get them to do a pre game concert!)
We REALLY want all of you back in the Graveyard with us for 2014. Most all of you have renewed your season tickets already. But I know that money is an issue right now for a lot of us. I get that. But it's so important to me, our staff, our players, and all of New Orleans that ALL of you are back in The Graveyard with us, that I sat down with our management staff and talked through how we can help those of you that may need to stretch out season ticket payments. And we're all on the same page! If you need some time, we are ready to give you some time to pay for those 2014 tickets. Give our ticket office a call today at 1-888-277-5526 and tell them, "Coach told me to call to get a monthly payment plan for my 2014 VooDoo season tickets." VooDoo 2014 season tickets are priced exactly where they were in 2013. But by making monthly payments available, there's no reason why anyone cannot join us across Girod Street "back in The Graveyard."
I can't wait to see you! And before we know it, we'll be gathering our guys back here in NOLA for Training Camp. Between now and then we'll be having some open tryouts at Gormley Stadium. Watch the news and www.aflvoodoo.com for dates and times. Each of you is welcome to come out to Gormley and be our guest at these tryouts. Quite a few AFL and NFL players have been "discovered" in these tryouts, so you may see the next AFL Superstar at the same time we do!
Thanks, and one more thing: "DO YOU VOODOO?!?!?! -
