The Louisiana Swashbucklers has on its 2011 schedule a great season of entertainment for your benefit along with our exciting indoor football action. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect to see throughout the season in the Smuggler's Den:

Saturday, March 26th - The home opener against the Alabama Hammers. The McNeese State University Parapokes will dive in to greet the fans for the first game of the year in the Smuggler's Den.

Saturday, April 9th - This will be Spirit Night when the Mobile Bay Tarpons come to town. You will be entertained as local high school band drum lines will perform in our Spirit Night competition. The Bleacher Creatures will also perform at halftime. The Bleacher Creatures are the rowdiest fans in the Smuggler's Den. Come watch them in action as they cheer the Bucs on to victory!

Saturday, April 16th - It wouldn't be a Swashbucklers game without Pirate Night when the Bucs host the Abilene Ruff Riders. Come dressed as a pirate and participate in our costume contest. Prizes will be offered for the best looking pirates. Ahoy matey!

Saturday, April 23rd - It will be a night to remember when our archrivals the Lafayette Wildcatters arrive in the Smuggler's Den. We will have our Cheerful Heart Camp sponsored by Market Basket. Also, this is our annual Breast Cancer Awareness game. Help the Swashbucklers promote early detection. We will once again play with pink footballs and donate proceeds to the Ethyl Precht Foundation. Since the Wildcatters are coming to town we will have our Adopt-A-Pet Night. Many pets are looking for a loving home. At halftime will be the popular kitten races. Once again may the best kitty win.

Saturday, May 28th- Come spend a part of the Memorial Day weekend with the Swashbucklers when the Corpus Christi Hammerheads return to the Smuggler's Den for another rivalry game. This is our annual Freedom Fighter Tribute where we salute our men and women in the armed forces and local first responders. All military veterans, military active duty personnel, local fire, police and EMTs are invited to come and participate in this special tribute.
