Seattle Sounders News Release
The Seattle Sounders drew with the Puerto Rico Islanders, 1-1, at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium on Friday night.
In the middle of a quick three game road trip in the southeast, the Sounders are coming off a 2-1 loss against the Carolina Railhawks.
Puerto Rico hasn't played in two weeks since they hosted Portland on May 16th and their energy was apparent early when they outplayed the Sounders in the first half and got the lead in the 34th minute from Taiwo Atieno.
When the second half began, Seattle brought the game on more level terms and got the equalizer from Taylor Graham in the 77th minute.
Propelled by the equalizing goal, Seattle had chances to win the game late, but the Sounders couldn't find the back of the net and the game ended 1-1.
Next up for the Sounders is a trip to Miami to take on the Blues on Sunday at 3:00 pm. Watch USLlive.com to catch all the action.
