
Soul's Goosby Voted Week 5 National Guard MVP

CHICAGO - Philadelphia Soul LB JOE GOOSBY has been named National Guard MVP of the Week for his performance in Week 5 of the 2012 AFL season, as voted on by fans.
Goosby (6-1, 230, Tulane) received 48 percent of the fans' votes on ArenaFootball.com after recording 3.5 tackles, one forced fumble and two interceptions returned for touchdowns in the Soul's 92-42 victory over the Georgia Force. The Soul's 92 points and 50-point margin of victory were both franchise records.
Other candidates for the award included New Orleans VooDoo QB Kurt Rocco and Chicago Rush WR Jared Perry.
The Soul (3-1) host the San Jose SaberCats (3-1) in a rematch of ArenaBowl XXII Saturday night on Ustream's "AFL Live" Viewer. Kickoff is set for 6:05 pm ET.
