Soul to Host Town Takeover and Carnival July 19

PHILADELPHIA (July 10, 2014) - The Philadelphia Soul, presented by Parx Casino, will host a "Town Takeover and Carnival" in Broomall on Saturday, July 19 from 4p.m. to 8 p.m. The Town Takeover and Carnival, presented by Walgreens, will take place at the Marple Sports Arena located at 611 Park Way Drive in Broomall, PA before their Fan Appreciation Night against the San Jose SaberCats on Sunday, July 20 at 4 p.m.
The event will feature a Soul "Walk Through" practice from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., a kids football clinic run by Soul players from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a kids dance clinic run by Soul dance team members from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Separate fees and registrations required.
In addition to all Soul activities at the event, Marple Sports Arena will have all of their games and rides available including: a Zip Line, Go Karts, a dunk tank, Inflatable rides and games, an arcade trailer, Marple Mountain, a hamster race station, the rock wall, and more carnival style games. The event is free to the public. There are separate fees for the rides and games. Food and beverages will also be available.
"This will be a fun event for families to not only get an opportunity to meet the Soul team, but also have a fun-filled experience with all the activities that Marple Sports Arena has available," said John Adams, VP/COO of the Soul.
The next Soul game will be held against the San Jose SaberCats. It will be themed, "Fan Appreciation Night," with many fan giveaways including: Soul Team Poster to the first 3,000 fans, T-Shirts to the first 5,000 fans and many more prize giveaways throughout the night. . Kick-off will be at 4 p.m.
