Soul Place Henderson On IR

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul placed wide receiver Kenny Henderson on injured reserve Monday with a broken collarbone.

Henderson suffered the injury on a touchdown catch with nine seconds left in the second quarter of Saturday's 77-56 win over the Orlando Predators. He is expected to miss at least six weeks of action.

Henderson ended the game with two catches for 39 yards. He came to the Soul in the offseason after posting 75 catches for 895 yards with 18 touchdowns in his rookie season with New Orleans last year.

Soul head coach Bret Munsey has not made a corresponding roster move. The Soul's roster currently stands at 23 players.

The Philadelphia Soul (1-0), YOUR Team...YOUnited, continues the 2008 season in Chicago against the Rush on Sunday, March 9 at 1 p.m. (et). The game can be seen live on ESPN2 and ESPN2HD and heard locally on Sports Radio 950.
