Soul name Rich Lisk general manager

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul announced today the hiring of Rich Lisk to the newly created position of General Manager. Lisk will oversee the day-to-day operation of the team's front office.

Lisk comes to the Soul after holding the position of President and General Manager for the Trenton Titans of the ECHL. With the Titans, Lisk was directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team's front office and hockey operations.

During his eight year tenure with the Titans, Lisk also served as the team's Vice President of Marketing and Sales as well of the Assistant General Manager. Following the 2002 season, Lisk was named the ECHL Marketing Executive of the Year. While with the Titans, the team hosted the most successful ECHL All-Star weekend, the team played its first international game and its first game between the ECHL and the AHL.

Lisk is no stranger to the Philadelphia market. He served as the Marketing Manager for Comcast Spectacor from 1996-97. At Comcast Spectacor, Lisk was responsible for the marketing of the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia Wings, Philadelphia Phantoms and select family shows. Lisk was directly responsible for all of the marketing efforts of the Phantoms inaugural season which boasted five sellouts of 17,380 and led the AHL in attendance averaging over 9,000 fans per game.

Lisk has also spent time with Anheuseur-Busch Entertainment, Sesame Place and World Wrestling Entertainment.

Lisk is a graduate of Rutgers University, Cook College with a degree in Economics and Finance. He is the co-founder of the Character Project, an organization that helps underprivileged children in tutoring and athletics.
