Sondreal, Strathmann and Sigurdson earn league honors for outstanding performances last week

Jake Sondreal (Dubuque), Andrew Strathmann (Youngstown) and Quentin Sigurdson (Chicago) have earned United States Hockey League (USHL) Player of the Week honors for Week 21, the league announced Monday.

Forward of the Week

Jake Sondreal | Dubuque | Woodbury, Minn.

NCAA Commitment: Boston College

Birth Year: 2004

3 GP, 4 goals, 2 assists, 6 points, +2, 11 shots on in helping Dubuque to three wins last week

Led all USHL players in goals and points last week

Scored twice and had the game-winning goal in a 6-3 victory over Cedar Rapids last Friday

Scored a shorthanded goal and assisted on the game-winner in a 3-2 win at Des Moines Saturday

Had a goal and an assist in a 7-2 win at Lincoln Sunday

Owns a four-game point-scoring streak (4-3- 7)

Leads the USHL in scoring with 58 points on 22 goals and 36 assists in 43 games played

Defenseman of the Week

Andrew Strathmann | Youngstown | Beach Park, Ill.

NCAA Commitment: North Dakota

Birth Year: 2005

3 GP, 1 goal, 4 assists, 5 points, +3 plus-minus rating, 8 shots on goal

Had two assists, including one on the game-winning goal, in a 4-2 victory at Madison last Saturday

Assisted on both of Youngstown's two goals in a 3-2 shootout loss at Waterloo Sunday

Leads Youngstown defensemen in scoring with 28 points on six goals and 22 assists in 32 games

Now a three-time USHL Defenseman of the Week this year and fifth time for career
