San Diego Sockers News Release
CINCINNATI, OH--Kraig Chiles had four goals and was named playoff MVP as the San Diego Sockers beat La Raza de Guadalajara 10-6 to win their second straight PASL North American Championship.
Paul Wright had a goal and assist for San Diego, Eric Wunderle added two first-half goals, and team captain Aaron Susi had a pair of assists as the Sockers pulled away after leading 5-4 at halftime. Chiles' third and fourth goals of the game stretched the lead to 7-4 and led to an angry meltdown on the field from La Raza, which had a player red carded and two others sent off for misconduct.
The Sockers celebrate their 12th major indoor title and second in two seasons of PASL-Pro play. They return home to face the Cincinnati Kings on March 19th in the final of the U.S. Open Cup, looking for their second straight "double" title.
