Snakes' John Sullivan Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (December 18, 2012) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced John Sullivan of the Columbus Cottonmouths is the Easton Player of the Week for December 10-16.

Sullivan scored twice, including one game-winner, added four assists and was +4 as the Cottonmouths won two of three games last week.

On Thursday, Sullivan picked up assists on both Columbus goals in a 5-2 loss to Augusta. Sullivan recorded another assist in the Cottonmouths' 5-3 win over Louisiana on Saturday before closing out the weekend with a two-goal, one-assist performance in a 5-1 win over Huntsville on Sunday.

A native of Delmar, NY, Sullivan played four years at Middlebury College, serving as team captain during his senior season. Following his collegiate career, he spent the 2010-11 season overseas with HC Mont-Blanc in the French Elite League. Last season, Sullivan assisted on the first goal and scored an empty-netter in Columbus' championship-clinching game at Pensacola.
