Smokies to Offer 'spring Training Ticket Special'

KODAK, Tenn. - The Tennessee Smokies announced today the offer of the Spring Training Ticket Special, featuring tickets to the Smokies Park Home Opener against the Chattanooga Lookouts. The Spring Training Ticket Special will offer two great ticket deals to games throughout the 2013 season, for a limited time only.

To start the Spring Training Ticket Special fans will be able to purchase an $11 ticket to the Smokies' Opening Night (April 10) game for only $1. Fans will be able to purchase the $1 ticket on the team's website at www.smokiesbaseball.com, at the Smokies ticket office or by calling (865) 286-2300 beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1 through Noon on Monday, March 4.

Fans will continue to save on game tickets on Tuesday, March 5. Starting at 10:00 a.m., fans will be able to purchase an $11 ticket to any Smokies home game in April or May, and select games in June, July and August for only $5. This great offer will only last for 12 hours and end at 10:00 p.m. on the 5th.

The Smokies will bring a wealth of entertainment to fans all season long. The Smokies will feature 15 of the best fireworks shows in Minor League Baseball. Each show, produced by LaFollette, Tenn. based Pyro Shows, will be choreographed to a different musical genre, based on that night's promotional theme.

Giveaway nights are a staple within the Minor League Baseball experience all around the country, and the Smokies are no different. The Smokies have nine separate giveaway nights planned in 2013.

In addition to great promotions, the Smokies will welcome some of the nation's best performers. "The Hippest Nerd in da' Biz" Myron Noodleman (August 24) along with the Fur Circus (May 25) will be at Smokies Park to entertain the fans of East Tennessee. Smokies Park will also entertain fans with four postgame concerts, including the fan-favorite 80s cover band The Breakfast Club.

The Smokies will kick off "The Kids Can Play" campaign on April 10, against the Chattanooga Lookouts. First pitch is slated for 7:15 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.smokiesbaseball.com, at the Smokies ticket office or by phone at (865) 286-2300.
