THE SECOND SEASON BEGINS: The Fire will open the 2006 ArenaCup Playoffs at Memphis on Saturday night. The Fire defeated the Xplorers 63-55 in Freedom Hall on July 8. This will be the second time the teams have met in the playoffs; the Xplorers defeated the Fire 63-41.
AMERICAN CONFERENCE PLAYOFF PICTURE:
Florida 13 - 3 Green Bay 10 - 6 Memphis 11 - 5 Manchester 9 - 7 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 9 - 7 Louisville 9 - 7 Florida and Green Bay have first round bye as they won the South and East divisions respectively.
Manchester will host Wilkes-Barre Friday night.
Memphis will host Louisville Saturday night.
MAGER TIES LEAGUE RECORD: Fire OS Rob Mager tied a league record in Friday's game against Green Bay. Mager caught on touchdown pass giving him 54 for the season which ties the league record for touchdown receptions in a season.
