Smith Activated for Saturday Night's Game at Austin; Moore Signed to Practice Squad

TAMPA BAY - The five-time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm have activated wide receiver/defensive back Leroy Smith off injured reserve and signed lineman Craig Moore to the practice squad, Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum announced today.

Smith, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound wide receiver/defensive back from Florida State University, has suited up in two games this season for the Storm. The rookie hailing from Quincy, FL has caught one pass for six yards and made two tackles on defense this season.

Moore, a 6-4, 330-pound lineman is in his sixth year in the AFL. The native of Immokalee, FL has played with the Milwaukee Mustangs, Toronto Phantoms, Carolina Cobras and last with the Dallas Desperados in 2004. In his six-year AFL career he's accumulated 67 tackles, seven sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. The Mississippi State graduate spent time with the San Diego Chargers in 1999.

The Storm (6-5) hit the road for a critical Southern Division showdown with the Austin Wranglers (7-4) Saturday night at 8 p.m. EST (TV: None, Radio: WHNZ 1250AM, Web: AFL Net at www.arenafootball.com). All the action can be heard on the home for Storm football, 1250AM, with Jack Harris and Jason Dixon. Pregame action can be heard starting at 7:45 p.m. EST. The Storm will finish the season with four of their last five games on the road.
