BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The Bellingham Slam cruised to a 145-94 victory over the visiting Olympia Reign on Friday night at Whatcom Pavilion.

The win was the Slam's seventh in a row and improved their record on the season to a franchise-best 8-1 record. It was also the first time the Slam held an opponent under 100 points in a game this season.

The Slam made quick work of Olympia, jumping out to a 17-6 lead after the first six minutes.

A 19-2 run pushed Bellingham's advantage to 28, at 67-39, with 1:34 left in the second quarter.

The Slam continued their offensive onslaught in the second half, stretching the advantage to 30 halfway through the third quarter and eclipsed the 40-point mark with their first basket of the fourth quarter.

Every Slam player who saw action, save for forward Jeremy Green who was limited due to injury, scored in double figures. They were paced by 28 points from guard Paul Hafford, while center Blake Poole finished with 12 points and a season-high 17 rebounds.

The Reign, which shot just 32.5 percent from the field as a team, were led by center Ike Ohanson and Giovonne Woods, who each scored 15 points.

The Slam continue their May homestand with a game on Memorial Day against the Japan Tornadoes, with 5 p.m. tip-off set for Whatcom Pavilion. The game will be broadcast live on KBAI-AM 930 and online at www.930kbai.com.
