‘Force on a Roll

With Saturday night's victory over the Michigan Mayhem the ‘Force extended their winning streak to 10 games. It is the longest winning streak since Paul Woolpert led the ‘Force to 10 straight wins during the 2001-02 season. The longest winning streak in franchise history is 13 games which occurred during the 1996-97 season when the team finished the regular season 47-9 (.839) under the guidance of Mo McHone. That team started the season with 13 straight wins before losing in the 14th game of the season.

Playoff Teams Set

The Idaho Stampede became the sixth and final team to clinch a spot in the 2006 Continental Basketball Association Playoffs thanks to the Dakota Wizards garnering just one quarter point against the Yakama Sun Kings in a 107-93 loss on Sunday, March 5. With the loss and only three regular season games remaining, Dakota can accumulate no more than 159.0 quarter points. The Wizards currently have 138.0 quarter points and are fourth in the Western Conference. Idaho currently sits in third place in the Western Conference with 162.5 quarter points (3.61 QP avg.), a 23-22 record, and three games remaining.

Thomas Re-signs with Wizards

The Washington Wizards announced today that the team has signed Billy Thomas to a second 10-day contract. Thomas has been on the inactive list for the past six games since signing his initial contract with Washington on February 24. In other news, Noel Felix made his debut with Seattle last night and scored two points in six minutes of action.
