Sky Blue FC News Release

Harrison, NJ - Sky Blue FC today announces its first match of the 2021 preseason as the Club welcomes James Madison University for a closed-door match on Sunday, March 7 at Red Bulls Training Facility, the Official Home Training Facility of Sky Blue. The Club is utilizing this preseason match in preparations for an April 9 start to the NWSL Challenge Cup and the regular season that begins on May 15.

"We are pleased to welcome JMU to New Jersey for the first match between our two teams," said Head Coach Freya Coombe. "This will be our first match since last October and we're embracing the challenge that playing a team with a different style than us will bring."

JMU made it to the Colonial Athletic Association tournament in 2019 after defeating the number two and three ranked teams. The team started its 2020-21 spring campaign on February 21 with a hard-fought draw against Liberty University. JMU will play in this exhibition scrimmage before continuing its campaign on March 14 against Towson University.

Match details will be communicated via the Club's website and social media platforms.
