BOSTON - Sky Blue FC (9-11-3, 30 points) will return to National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) action on Saturday, traveling to Jordan Field to play the Boston Breakers (4-12-7, 19 points) in its 2017 season finale. Kickoff for the match is set for 7:00 p.m. ET

"This is our last game of the season, and it is very important for us to go out on a positive note," said David Hodgson, Sky Blue FC assistant coach. "We want to finish as high up the league as we can, which is why it is imperative that we get these three points off Boston. We had a very good week of training, and we are looking at the best bill of health that we have had in quite some time. Boston is a gritty team that will make us earn it, but we are more than up for the challenge."

This weekend marks the third meeting of the 2017 campaign between Sky Blue FC and the Breakers. The two clubs split the first pair of contests, with both sides winning on their home soil, 1-0. In the first encounter, Natasha Dowie finished a Rose Lavelle assist in the 37^th minute at Jordan Field for the lone tally of a second-week pairing. They reunited again on Aug. 26 at Yurcak Field, as Sam Kerr scored a Nikki Stanton feed in the 5^th minute of a 1-0 match-up. Goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan recorded the shutout that evening.

History will be on the line for the final time on Saturday, as Sky Blue FC forward Sam Kerr has one more chance to become the first player in NWSL history to score 17 goals in a single season. She is currently level with Kim Little (2014) on 16 scores.

Sky Blue FC leads the all-time series between these two clubs, holding an accumulative 7-3-3 record. However, the Breakers hold the edge in Boston with a 3-2-1 overall count.
