Sky Blue FC News Release

Morristown, N.J. - Sky Blue FC remains committed to the development of the game throughout the state, formally announcing today its continued support of the New Jersey Youth Soccer (NJYS) Club NJYS and Young Olympians programs, which will officially kick off this Saturday.

"NJ Youth Soccer has played a critical role in the growth and development of soccer in the State of New Jersey," said Tony Novo, Sky Blue FC President & General Manager. "NJYS has helped to groom the talent of many successful players who continued their careers to college and the professional ranks, particular through programs such as Club NJYS and Young Olympians. We fully support these initiatives and are happy to participate in the programming."

The two NJYS programs serve as a supplement to club training while also preparing players for the Olympic Development Program (ODP). Sky Blue FC's Maya Hayes and Rachel Breton developed under NJYS when they were youth players, and both will be assisting with the training and evaluations at two of the regional sessions when the programs begin on November 21st. This weekend also marks a continuation of the relationship with NJYS that dates back to the initial foundation of Sky Blue FC as a professional soccer club in 2009.

"Sky Blue FC has provided a massive lift to NJ Youth Soccer over the past year. 900 of our players and families enjoyed NJ Youth Soccer night at Sky Blue FC this summer, and the club and their players have supported our State Cups, TOPSoccer and recreation programs," said Evan Dabby, NJ Youth Soccer Executive Director. "It was special watching the Sky Blue players inspire at our Young Olympians Festival in May. It was clear these young players learn so much from these professionals, and we know this season's players will enjoy the same benefits."

Registration is currently open for the Club NJYS program as well as for Young Olympians tryouts, and more information can be obtained online. To find out more about NJ Youth Soccer, make sure to visit www.njyouthsoccer.com.
