
Sky Blue FC Announces Two Roster Moves

Tinton Falls, N.J. - Sky Blue FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) announced today that it has waived midfielder Thaisa Moreno and forward Michaela Abam to allow both players the chance to pursue opportunities abroad.
Thaisa was playing in her first season with Sky Blue FC after being signed this past offseason as a free agent. The Brazil international made five starts over eight appearances during the 2018 NWSL campaign, playing a total of 396 minutes.
Abam was selected by Sky Blue FC in the 2018 NWSL College Draft after completing her collegiate career at West Virginia University. The Houston native appeared in four matches for Sky Blue FC over the course of the 2018 NWSL season.
Next up for Sky Blue FC is a road fixture on Saturday night against the Chicago Red Stars. The team will return home to Yurcak Field on Saturday, August 11, hosting the Houston Dash for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Tickets for that game are available now online or by calling 888-SBFC-TIX (888-723-2849).
