
Sizzle Heats Up Women's Football With Exhibition Game

Cincinnati Sizzle News Release
The Cincinnati Sizzle, one of the 2005 expansion teams of the National Women's Football Association, will turn up the heat this summer by hosting their first scrimmage game against the KY Karma. The game will be played at LaSalle High School 3091 North Bend Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45239. Kickoff is 7PM.
"The ladies have been working very hard. They are looking forward to the opportunity to test themselves. The team is very excited," states Ickey Woods, Head Coach and CO-owner of the team. Woods' wife, Chandra is a player for the Sizzle. "We have been practicing very hard and we are excited about this game," states Chandra Woods, Sizzle CO-owner.
The Karma, which is also a 2005 expansion team played its first exhibition game last Saturday against the Asheville Assault. The Assault which has played in the league for three years won, but the Karma scored their first touchdown. "We were very impressed that the Karma scored against the Assault. Asheville is in the playoffs, so they are a good team with several years of experience and the Karma just got their pads a couple of months ago," states Debby Lening, VP NWFA.
