
Silver Knights Hire Mike Rocco as Hitting Coach

Nashua, NH - The Nashua Silver Knights are proud to announce Mike Rocco as the team's new hitting coach for the 2013 season. Currently the head coach of Lesley University, Rocco joined the Lynx in its inaugural season in 2011. Rocco was named New England Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year following the 2012 campaign.
Before arriving to Lesley, the Tewksbury native spent the 2009-2010 seasons at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH. Rocco served as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Eagles, under current Silver Knights manager JP Pyne.
"Mike is a player's manager," Silver Knights Manager JP Pyne said, "He will add great experience and depth to our coaching staff."
Before coaching, Rocco was a standout at first base for the Bryant University Bulldogs. As a four-year starter, Rocco finished his career as the program's leader in games played (204), third in career hits (221), and currently holds the NCAA Division II career and single season records for put outs. Rocco helped the Bulldogs reach its first ever Division II College World Series in 2004, while earning Northeast 10 Conference Freshman of the Year honors.
