SWASHBUCKLERS 64, RUFF RIDERS 50

ABILENE, Tex. - Ben McLaughlin threw for 259 yards and seven touchdowns as Louisiana defeated Abilene for the third time this season.

The Ruff Riders led 30-20 early in the second quarter before the Bucs scored 17 points in the final 3:59 of the half.

Mike Maciejewski had ten catches for 84 yards while Marcus Wilridge had nine catches for 99 yards for the Bucs.

Chris Griffin threw for 231 and 4 TD for Abilene.

STEEL 83, STAMPEDE 23

TRENTON, N.J. - E.J. Nemeth threw for four touchdowns and rushed for three more as the Steel scored three touchdowns in each quarter for the blowout victory.

Derek Steiner rushed for two scores. Gladel Brutus had three picks on defense. Craig Camay had two field goals.

SPEED 50, RAIDERS 48

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Bruce Reinecker's 25-yard field goal with one second remaining gave Carolina a thriller victory over Richmond.

Richmond had taken a 48-47 lead on Antwon Young's 1-yard run with 32 seconds to play before the Speed made the most of its final drive.

Cooter Arnold caught all five of Bill Ashburn's touchdown passes for Carolina.

Young rushed for three Richmond scores.

PANTHERS 86, HAMMERS 70

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Cecil Lester threw for 305 yards and ten touchdowns as Albany scored 60 first half points en route to a victory over Alabama.

Antwone Savage caught five touchdowns and finished with 152 yards on eight catches.

Alabama's Germico McSwain set an SIFL record with seven touchdown catches. He had 14 catches for 142 yards.

EXPLOSION 138, FORCE 0

ERIE, Pa. - Adam DiMichele threw four of his six touchdown passes to Kevin Concepcion and Colton Hansen rushed for three scores and threw for another as Erie set an SIFL single-game scoring record.
