Bowers Approaches Record

Allen forward Justin Bowers has been on fire in the post-season scoring 27 points (10-17=27) in 17 games. The CHL All-Star has points in nine straight games tallying seven goals and 11 assists over that stretch. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native has multi-point games in five of the nine games during his streak. The CHL record for most points in a playoff season is 32 scored by Greg Pankewicz (Colorado) during the 2007 CHL Playoffs.

Whitley's A Busy Man

American's goaltender Chris Whitley tied the CHL record for appearances in a single post-season on Wednesday night with his 17th appearance and will move past Chad Erickson and Steve Plouffe in the record books the next time he takes the ice. Allen's rookie netminder is also approaching the CHL records for minutes played and saves as he need just 26 minutes to pass Erickson (Whitley currently has 1006:03, record is 1032) and he is just 35 saves away from passing Erickson for the most stops in a single post-season. Whitley currently has 531 saves (Erickson had 565).
