Last Night
The Odessa Jackalopes took a 1-0 series lead over the Allen Americans handing the Governors' Cup Champs their first loss of the playoffs so far with a 3-2 victory. Mike Ramsay had a goal and an assist as Odessa won their fourth straight game and take home ice advantage away from Allen in the best-of-5 series.
Allen-Odessa Series Notes:
-Joel Martin won his fourth straight start making 30 saves in the Jacks Game One win.
-Todd Robinson has assists in all five playoff games so far totaling nine helpers. Dating back to the regular season, Robinson has 21 assists in his last 12 games and has points in 22 straight games.
-Odessa is 15-5-1 in their last 21 games dating back to the end of the regular season.
-Game Two is scheduled for Sunday in Allen.
Friday Night Face-Offs
Three Conference Semi Finals series' get underway on Friday night with Rapid City hosting Fort Wayne, Colorado hosting Missouri and Bossier-Shreveport hosting Tulsa. The same six teams play their respective Game Two's on Saturday night before the series' shift to the venues of the lower seeded teams.
First Impressions
So far this post-season, the team that wins Game One has split the completed series' with four Game One winners taking their Opening Round series and four falling. Last year, the Game One winners went 6-3 in their respective series'.
