
Shock Travel to Muscogee Creek for Practice

TULSA, Okla. (August 5, 2011) - The Tulsa Shock will be the guests of Muscogee Nation on the evening of Tuesday August 16 as the team will travel to Okmulgee for a practice at the Omniplex Arena.
The entire team and coaching staff will be joined by the high-flying antics of Volt and in-game host Mary Moore as the organization takes its professional show on the road.
"We are excited to bring the Tulsa Shock traveling practice to our new multi-purpose building located at the Claude Cox Omniplex and introduce WNBA professional basketball to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation," said Principal Chief A.D. Ellis. "In addition, this is another activity in our commitment to the youth of Muscogee (Creek) Nation."
This will be the Shock's second traveling practice in the 2011 season and first outside of the greater Tulsa area.
"This is a great opportunity to showcase our basketball team, organization and incredible product within the state of Oklahoma. In addition to being Tulsa's team, we look forward in growing our reach amongst the many Native American groups all throughout the state of Oklahoma."
The practice will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on the evening of August 16 and will include a basketball clinic hosted by Shanna Zolman and the Shock Basketball Academy.
