Tulsa, OK - The Tulsa Shock have selected Angel Goodrich with the 29th overall pick in the WNBA Draft. Goodrich finished her career at Kansas as their all-time leader in assists. Averaged 14.1 points per game in her senior season and ended her career averaging 11.5 points per game. Owns Allen Fieldhouse record (men and women) for assists in a single game with 16 vs. Texas Tach on February 8, 2012. Named an All-Big 12 First Team pick in 2013.

"We had Angel rated very high on our draft board and were very surprised to see her there at 29," Shock President Steve Swetoha said. "She is a very smart point guard who has played against some good competition in the Big 12."

"We were surprised that a player of Angel's caliber was still left in the draft at pick 29," Shock Head Coach Gary Kloppenburg said. "She is a quality player and will have an opportunity to prove herself in training camp."

The Shock's home opener will be May 27th against the Washington Mystics at the BOK Center. The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN2.
