
Shock Partner with Oklahoma Blood Institute for Blood Drive

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa Shock has partnered with the Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) to host a blood drive on Saturday, June 14. The blood drive will be from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at two locations, Osage Event Center, 951 W. 36th Street North, and Promenade Mall in the National Guard Wing.
Shock players Odyssey Sims, Jordan Hooper, Theresa Plaisance and Vicki Baugh are scheduled to appear alongside Volt. Volt will be at Osage Event Center from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Odyssey Sims and Theresa Plaisance are also scheduled to appear at the Osage Events Center from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Jordan Hooper and Vicki Baugh are scheduled to be at Promenade from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Each donor will receive:

Anyone who is healthy and 16 years of age^ can usually give blood, and donations can be made every 56 days. Health screenings and Donor Rewards points, redeemable in OBI's online store, are also provided to donors.
Through a special initiative to support the Global Blood Fund (GBF), any donor can forgo the OBI T-shirt offered in appreciation for giving. In turn, funds so designated will then be contributed to GBF for supplies and equipment for blood centers in the world's poorest countries.

^16 year olds must weigh at least 125 pounds and provide signed parental permission, 17 year olds must weigh at least 125 pounds, 18+ year olds must weigh at least 110 pounds. * 18 year olds and up can give blood at Osage Event Center.
