Tulsa Shock News Release
TULSA, Okla. (July 4, 2011) - The Tulsa Shock added veteran Doneeka Lewis (Formerly "Hodges") to their 11-player roster earlier today.
Lewis, a 5-foot-9 guard out of Louisiana State University, last played with the Indiana Fever in 2008 where she averaged seven minutes a game. Lewis was selected in the second round (25th overall) by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2004 WNBA Draft and played three seasons in Los Angeles before having short stints in Seattle in 2007 and Indiana in 2008.
"She's another quick guard that we feel will help our team," General Manager and Head Coach Nolan Richardson said. "She's a player who has been in the league and will bring more experience to our back court."
Lewis will dress this Friday July 8 when the Phoenix Mercury visits the Shock at the BOK Center. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
